$15 more 228604 7/1/08, 10:35 am EDTSo it looks like now the price is up $15 on the old iphone if you want the 200 text messages. $75 for the base package with text is getting a little high. Comment posted by:

Free the iPhone 228605 7/1/08, 10:47 am EDTApple needs to free the iPhone to other carriers. The plan I have now with my 2G iPhone is perfect for my usage and was contemplating upgrading to 3G but I'll pass now that I see how much AT&T is gonna gouge its customers. 200 text came with the iPhone plan and now they want to make it an additional charge. FUCK you AT&T! Comment posted by:

waaaa! 228608 7/1/08, 11:03 am EDTMan, you get charged the same amount as they charge all their other 3G customers, and you people cry like a baby (and I still don't see the point of upgrading if you already have an iPhone, as there's only one or two features in the new one even worth mentioning, GPS and 3G, and many won't even find them worth paying for). Wow 228609 7/1/08, 11:04 am EDTI wasn't in the market for an iPhone anyway, but these pricing plans definitely turn me off of even considering it in the future. Looks like I troll Ebay a bit harder for 2.5Gs to jailbreak and stick on a prepaid plan or a different carrier. Good jorb, AT&T. Comment posted by:

technically too early? 228610 7/1/08, 11:04 am EDTWhat does "technically too early to qualify for an upgrade" mean. My wife's iPhone died after a water accident last month. Instead of getting a replacement for $250 I have been waiting to just get her an new 3G iPhone. Am I technically qualified (bought June 29, 2007) or am I going to have to pay $399 or $499? Unlock it! 228611 7/1/08, 11:05 am EDTIt says in the article you will be able to buy an iPhone without a contract or plan for $599. Buy it, unlock it, use it with the carrier of your choice (as long as it's not cdma). Comment posted by:

too early 228613 7/1/08, 11:08 am EDTI believe too early has something to do with having to cover your early termination fee. Yours would be covered, as it has been a year. Comment posted by:

Current AT&T customers 228616 7/1/08, 11:21 am EDTReally, it's simple to see if you qualify for an upgrade or if you have to pay the "early upgrade" fee. Just login to your AT&T account online and you'll see a section about your current phone with an upgrade link, if you qualify. Comment posted by:
