How common this fault might be if we hear the news about explosive iPod nano years after its introduction?

Anything with a battery can "explode" under the wrong conditions. How many millions of nanos were sold and how many have been reported as "exploding?" Although maybe there is a new market for bomb-proof iPod chargers.

Oh I love these articles. A potentially serious fault would be having tens of thousands of these things blowing up, not a few dozen. Its the Batterys and this will always be a issue with li on batteries. Happens to Cell phones, laptops, cameras and yes ipods.

You want to be considered a journalist, then act like one. Journalism 101. "Other Users?" How many others? Two? Twenty? Two hundred? If you have nothing to corroborate this info, or no other sources, then anything past the one incident is either sloppy reporting or rumor-mongering. Apple has yet to disclose? Gee, you seem to have a source on others, why not disclose it here? Did you have some better reason for writing this the way you did?

The scroll wheel is not from a iPod nano 1th generation. It's a fake iPod, so he shouldn't be surprise it exploded.

I don't know, looks a lot like the scroll wheel on my iPod nano. Exactly what makes it a fake?
