what about MMS?
I am tired of not being able to send or receive photos from people with other phones.

Come on. Do you want Apple just to slap in 'cut and paste' to make taking email information and pasting it into your address book or something? No. You want Apple to take their time and do it right. Even if it takes another year, it just can't be slapped in there. iPhone users would rather live without than have a non-elegant solution.

   Get over it. Enjoy your iPhone as it is. I loved my 2.5G iPhone for every day I had it (from release day until 3G release day) and I now enjoy my 3G iPhone every day. If you really need a feature that the iPhone doesn't have, get another phone.

Oh, come on. The iPhone has eMail, which is so much better than MMS. Sure, not everyone has an iPhone yet, or a data plan for that matter, but that's not Apple's problem. Get all your friends and family to buy an iPhone, then you're all set. None of this crappy MMS solutions.

Then again, one wonders why the iPhone even has texting support, since email can handle that too. But I'm sure there's a reason for that, as well.

Why are these "worst requests"? What about either of these features suddenly makes the iPhone a piece of crap or something? And why are they worse than any features the iPhone has?

why would i buy another phone (does any other actually exist) for 2 features. everything else on the iphone is excellent. Its not unreasonable to request some very standard features that do not require any major effort. cut and paste is already built into the os that iphone os is based off of. im a fan boy but recognize that there is always room for improvement.

Speak for yourself testudo. "iPhone users" would NOT rather spend the next year using a pencil and paper to write down a long email address or URL just so they can then enter it into a different application.

Apple has made many decisions with the iPhone that limit it's ability to be a "productivity device". Ever try to take class/meeting notes on an iPhone or iPod Touch? There's no technical reason not to support a bluetooth keyboard.

My iPhone to me is an internet connected TOY. But with it, I still need a PDA and a GPS Navigator. Why? Strictly due to Apple imposed limitations.

I would never recommend it to anyone who wishes to use it as more than a toy.

everyone complained when apple dropped the floppy drive from the original imac. it was still a common technology at the time, much like now where everyone uses MMS. But it's got desktop-class email and all future phones will eventually support that as well. Its just a matter of time until people barely remember even using MMS. I don't hear anyone complaining that they wish they still had their floppy drive anymore.
