EA releases four new games for iPhone, iPod touch
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 @ 10:45am

EA Mobile has released four new iPhone and iPod touch applications on Apple's App Store: NBA Live, EA Sports FIFA 10, Mystery Mania, and Boggle. NBA Live is a basketball game where players take control and play against authentic NBA teams in a variety of modes. Features include the ability to unlock and add legendary characters to a team, fifteen different music tracks to choose from, and the ability to control the players via the virtual analog stick or accelerometer. Different game modes include an 82-game Season mode, an Exhibition, and a Playoff mode.

FIFA 10 is yet another title in the company’s line of sports apps, this soccer game is said to contain a full roster of authentic 2009/2010 teams from across the globe. Players can dribble, shoot or pass the ball down the court while viewing it from one of six possible camera angles. Included are a Be-A-Pro mode where players create a character and track his progress, a Tournament mode with 20 different licensed tournaments and cup competitions, and lastly a Manager mode that has users do everything from transferring players to training their squad.

Mystery Mania takes players to a mansion where they have to solve various mysteries, and guide a confused robot by the name of F8 to the fate that awaits it. This point-and-click puzzle adventure game consists of 27 different rooms full of traps and secrets, along with dangers such as man-eating plants.

Finally, Boggle is an iPhone version of the classic word-search game where players must form as many words as possible within a specific time limit. Controls of the game allow players to shake their iPhone in order to shuffle the 3D letters, then tap or drag the letters to spell the desired words. Players can keep track of their challenges in an integrated notepad, as well as record names, scores and created words. In addition to the basic challenge mode, users can modify time limits and add new features in the Advanced mode, or play in a Self Score mode that allows for customized rules and scoring.

All four games are ready for download from the App Store and priced at $10 for NBA Live or FIFA 10, $3 for Boggle, and $2 for Mystery Mania with a free trial version of the game also available.
