Asus shows off new frameless Designo displays
Tuesday, November 6, 2012 @ 8:49pm

Asus announced yesterday the launch of two new additions to its line of Designo displays. The displays come in 27- and 23-inch models, and each features Bang & Olufsen ICEpower-derived dual 3W stereo speakers coupled with Asus' SonicMaster technology. The 23-inch MX239H measures 14.5mm at its thinnest point, while the 27-inch MX279H measures 17.5mm thick at its thinnest point.

The two monitors feature a sundial-inspired stand and a bezel thickness of only 0.8mm. Each has an LED-backlit AH-IPS panel with a 178-degree wide-view angle. The two models also feature a 5ms response time that cuts down on ghosting and tracers. The displays support Full HD 1920x1080 resolutionsm and feature dual HDMI and VGA input ports. Asus has yet to reveal pricing and availability details on the displays.
