German firm claims iTunes 11 ready 'within the next days'

iTunes 11 is "about to be released within the next days," according to German music distribution service Feiyr. The claim comes from a email memo sent out to the company's clients, asking parties to upload any pictures and galleries they might have for their artists. The new software should let users view galleries for every artist on iTunes where available. Feiyr states that images have to measure at least 1,200 pixels.
Apple originally intended to launch iTunes 11 by the end of October, but ended up delaying the release until sometime in November. The update should represent a major overhaul, including a new, simplified layout, better performance, and easier playlist creation. When announcing the delay, though, the company said that development was "taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right."
