Apple posts updates for Final Cut, Motion, Compressor
Thursday, December 6, 2012 @ 2:32pm
Apple has posted new maintenance updates its line of professional video editing software. Above all is Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7, which among others fixes problems with creating single-layer DVDs, third-party transitions using black instead of source media, and third-party effects causing Final Cut to freeze during background rendering. It also restores the Offset slider for the Letterbox effect, and allows editing MXF files that are still ingesting.
Motion 5.0.6 solves bugs with Image Units disappearing after saving a project, and others triggered when working on multiple documents on dual displays. All three updates, including Compressor 4.0.6, eliminate a glitch that impeded uploading videos over 1GB to Vimeo.
