Pre-CES, iHome announces new 2013 accessory lineup
Thursday, January 3, 2013 @ 11:00pm

Ahead of their public debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next week, audio accessory maker iHome has pre-announced its full 2013 product suite of iOS and other device charging docks, nightstand accessories, mini-speakers, boom boxes and headphones. The big changes in the new products is the introduction of some accessories with Lightning port connectors for Apple's latest iOS products, as well as more Bluetooth options.

The iDL100 and iDL45 charging docks (both pictured below) are the first two models featuring Lightning ports, compatible with the iPad (fourth-generation), iPhone 5, iPad mini and latest iPod Touch. The units also come with a USB port for charging and playing from older or non-iOS devices. The iDL100 ($150) features two Lightning docks, and includes an auto-sync feature that sets the time on the charging stereo FM clock radio device to the time on one's iDevice. There is also an aux-in jack for other audio devices. The iDL45 ($100) is essentially the the same except that it only has one Lightning port. The iBT44 ($200) is a retro-style boom box that uses Bluetooth to stream audio from any iOS or Android device, and has a custom slot for the iPhone 5. It runs on either home current or six "D" batteries, and can be recharged using a USB adapter. The unit includes a magnetized remote control and is available in several colors. The company also has the iBT20 Bluetooth Wireless FM Alarm Clock Radio with USB charging ($80) and the iBT88 Bluetooth Rechargeable Mini Stereo Speaker system. In addition, iHome is expanding and revamping its headphone lineup, including some new sport and fashion models. The top of the line is the iB85 Bluetooth Foldable Headphones ($100), which include a mic, remote and travel pouch. Also new are the iB10 Sport Earhooks ($20) and iB22 Rubberized Noise-Cancelling Headphones ($15).
