Pure debuts modular Jongo synchronized audio system
Monday, January 7, 2013 @ 7:22pm

Today at CES 2013, Pure announced the Jongo family of products -- affordable multiroom audio products that allows the user to start with a single speaker and add more Jongo products for perfectly synchronized audio all around a home. Using Wi-Fi along with the free Pure Connect app, users also get the additional benefit of listening to multiple, tightly synchronised Jongo products in a single room or in a multi-room environment.

The Pure Jongo S340B portable, rechargeable wireless speaker ($229 MSRP) can be used on its own or grouped together with other Jongo speakers. Bluetooth is included for streaming to a single speaker, ideal for single-room use. The Pure Jongo S340B comes with four tweeters, and an upward-firing subwoofer for powerful bass. A user can select flexible audio profiles to make the most of any environment, including 360-degree stereo or mono sound for community listening, forward facing stereo or outdoor boost. A rechargeable battery pack is included as standard, and provides up to 10 hours of listening per charge. Compatible Pure products such as Sensia 200D Connect and One Flow can seamlessly synchronize with members of the Jongo family and can even be used to control the system for a multispeaker and multiroom experience. Additional members of the Jongo family, the Jongo T640B 100-watt speaker and and Jongo A140B hi-fi adapter have been previewed at CES, but pricing and availability have yet to be determined. The Jongo S340B will be available in the first quarter of 2013 in black, or white with black speaker grills. Optional user-fit colored grill packs in burnt orange, lime green, mango or white are also available. The unit is up for pre-order now for $230.
