Instagram rolls out full web-based feeds and interface

| Enhancing its universal device compatibility, Instagram today unveiled a web-based version of its newsfeed. The new option is available now, and it allows scrolling through a list of photos posted by accounts followed by the user. Profiles are clickable on the new interface, allowing the view of more associated pictures.
A blog post today by co-founder Kevin Systrom affirmed the company's mobile commitment since launch. He said that "since our launch in October of 2010, we’ve focused on building a simple app that has inspired creativity while capturing everyday moments through the lens of your mobile phone" and the experience is "at its core, is about seeing and taking photos on-the-go."
The new web interface mirrors that of the mobile interface, and has all the functionality of the app-based version. Inline commenting, photo 'likes,' and browsing all are the same as on mobile. In November, the company deployed web-based profiles, allowing users to see photos with specifically crafted URLs and links. The new interface allows full access to all the features of the site, previously not available with the web profiles.
