Bem Wireless debuts slim Bluetooth 'outlet speaker'
Tuesday, February 12, 2013 @ 6:52pm

Consumer electronics and wireless solutions provider Bem Wireless has developed the 'outlet speaker,' a Bluetooth device that plugs directly into a wall-mounted electrical outlet with no cable or power brick. A pass-through USB port allows users to charge portable devices off of the speaker.

The three-inch wide, 5.35-inch tall, and two-inch deep speaker boasts up to a 25-foot wireless range, and can be controlled from an iOS or other Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet. An aux-in and aux-out port are provided for daisy chaining multiple audio devices or selecting a wired input to the speaker. The new speaker is available in white or black. The unit will be available in March at Amazon.com and Target.com for $100.
