Apple job listing calls for Apple TV engineering manager
Friday, February 15, 2013 @ 1:51pm
Apple is searching for an Apple TV software engineering manager, a new job listing reveals. The successful candidate will have to "lead a team of engineers working on exciting new features and functionality" for the product line. Potential hires must also demonstrate experience "juggling multiple (simultaneous) high priority projects," among other qualities.
The opening may support views that Apple is taking a more aggressive approach with the set-top, and planning an event later this year. While it's believed that a March event won't happen, several other rumors have hinted at TV-related plans. These have mentioned not just the Apple TV but possibilities like third-party app development and/or the long-awaited release of a dedicated TV set.
