Photos show alleged cover glass for fifth-gen iPad
Wednesday, April 10, 2013 @ 11:16am

Photos obtained by French site Nowhereelse.fr show what may be the cover glass for a fifth-generation iPad. The part appears to follow in the steps of the iPad mini, with substantial trimming of the side bezels, along with some other, more minor proportion changes. The layout is consistent with recent rumors about the fifth-gen redesign.

The fourth-gen iPad was only a modest upgrade over the third-gen design, adding a faster processor, better cellular support, and a Lightning connector. When a fifth-gen tablet might launch is still undetermined, but recent reports have indicated that nothing will arrive before summer, and some forecasts have called for a launch as late as September.
