Scosche ships BoomBottle ruggedized Bluetooth streamer
Wednesday, April 10, 2013 @ 6:53pm

Scosche has revealed availability of the BoomBottle, a new mobile speaker for streaming music while biking, hiking, camping, and other activities needing a durable speaker set. The IP4X-rated weatherproof construction on the device protects the BoomBottle from unexpected weather, sweat and other moisture.

Dual 40mm drivers deliver audio with amplified acoustics for even the loudest of outdoor environments. Each speaker features an omnidirectional diffuser that channels music in all directions. The BoomBottle’s bass is enhanced by the large passive subwoofer housed in a tuned and ported enclosure. Bluetooth connectivity extends to 33 feet in the new device, and a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. The BoomBottle also features a  built-in microphone for use as a speakerphone. The grey BoomBottle is available now at Scosche.com for $150, and will be in Walmart stores shortly. Speakers in green, yellow, pink, or blue will be available on Scosche.com in May.
