Thursday, July 18, 2013 @ 4:30pm

New Trent, a California-based designer of mobile accessories, released its Airbender Mini, a rugged case for the iPad Mini yesterday. Complete with an integrated screen protector, aluminum arm, and built-in Bluetooth keyboard, users can effectively use their iPad mini for watching movies, FaceTime chatting, gaming or checking e-mails while still protecting it. The Airbender Mini's body is hardshell, composed of polycarbonate thermoplastic. At 0.4 inches, the inset Bluetooth keyboard attaches via the durable aluminum arm, allowing the case to rotate 360 degrees for landscape or portrait viewing angles. The Airbender Mini is available for $40.

Mixvibes introduces Version 2.5 of Cross DJ software Mixvibes announced today that its flagship software, CrossDJ, has received an update to version 2.5. Cross DJ provides users with the tools needed to DJ, such as browsing track catalogues, and monitoring playing track's peaks and phrasings. Users can create mash-ups in seconds, and record smooth mixtures. Version 2.5 features built-in key detection, where the key can be displayed in classic notation or harmonic code. Music catalogue browsing can now be viewed with a new full screen format, giving more space to browse tracks while keeping track of what is currently playing. A drag and drop action has been added as well, with the ability to move tracks easily between players and samplers, simplifying DJing with one turntable or CDJ. CrossDJ is available for $50, and the update for existing users is free.
