New photos show near-complete sets of iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C parts
Friday, August 23, 2013 @ 12:59pm

Dozens of new photos of alleged iPhone 5S and 5C parts have emerged in two separate reports. Most of these, almost 70, have been supplied by well-known leaker Sonny Dickson. The images show the phones in different colors, and almost all of their components, ranging from shells, buttons, and SIM trays through to things like screens and vibration motors. The main missing items are the phones' logic boards; Dickson says, however, that the parts are "direct from our sources within Apple’s supply chain."

Also missing from Dickson's collection is a 5S in the widely-reported gold color. His sources may, however, simply not have obtained gold parts for their images. Another outlet, AppAdvice, does however have photos of the 5S in gold. Components appear consistent with ones shared by Dickson and in earlier leaks. The 5S and 5C are commonly forecast to launch late next month, possibly around the 20th. It's anticipated that Apple will announce the phones at a special press event on the 10th.
