T-Mobile CEO drops hint that carrier may adopt new iPad

In a post on Twitter, T-Mobile CEO John Legere said that he was "excited" for Apple's upcoming October 22 event, which is expected to reveal new iPad models but has not been explicitly revealed to be doing so. Legere could be accused of "spilling the beans" but the main focus of the event is already widely "known" to be about the iPad. Legere, in his tweet, linked to a USA Today article about the event. Legere is known for using his Twitter feed to hint at new products and get feedback from users.



Should T-Mobile gain the ability to sell 3G/LTE-capable models, it will be the last major American carrier to do so, joining AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. After years of delay, T-Mobile finally began selling the iPhone on its network (after years of targeting unlocked-iPhone users) just last April. It is currently unknown if T-Mobile would offer an "instalment" payment plan for the next iPad like it has smartphone buyers, where users don't have a traditional carrier contract but can choose from a flexible array of options in their plans at any time -- but the buyer is obligated to pay a set monthly fee over and able the talk, text and data allowance to offset the actual cost of the phone.
