Briefly: SwitchEasy Canvas for iPad Air, Skooba tablet bag, launch
Monday, November 11, 2013 @ 11:20am

SwitchEasy has announced the immediate availability of its updated iPad case, Canvas for iPad Air. Encasing the Air's front and back, its outer layer is soft to hold while its inner shell is composed of a protective polycarbonate. The patterned, microfiber inner lining of the case does not damage the screen and also provides a slide-proof canvas for propping the tablet at any angle. Strong magnets lock the screen cover in place, engaging the iPad Air's sleep function. The Canvas unit is accompanied with a screen guard, microfiber cloth, screen squeegee, two headphone jack protectors, and to lightning connector protectors. Available in four colors, the SwitchEasy Canvas for iPad Air is available for $50.

Lightweight bag iPad/Tablet Courier V.3 from Skooba two inches wide Skooba Design has announced its latest tech accessory, the iPad/Tablet Courier V.3, to compliment the release of Apple's iPad Air. A slim, water-repellant courier bag, the iPad/Tablet Courier V.3 has a fully-padded sleeve that is suspended on the back wall of the bag interior, adding a bit of drop protection. Additional space in the main compartment allows for stowing other small items during usage, and a separate, zippered accessory compartment can be accessed from the front of the bag. Both compartments are covered by an oversized weather flap -- secured with a one-handed clip -- that also features a quick-access opening for the tablet as well as a small, waterproof pouch for 'need-at-hand' items. Shipping is set to begin in early December, and will be priced at $90. Pre-orders are available through Skooba Design's site.
