Briefly: BitTorrent Sync for iOS hits v1.2, Windows Phone 8 gets Vine
Tuesday, November 12, 2013 @ 11:54am

The BitTorrent Sync app for iOS has hit version 1.2.29, bringing new capabilities, as well as an iPad version. BitTorrent Sync users will now be able to access their files from iPads, as well as iPhones. The app has also been updated with a new design to reflect its iOS 7 compatibility. Users will see improved connection speed, and they can also save pictures and video from synced folders to the Camera Roll on an iOS device.

BitTorrent Sync is available as a free download from the App Store. The 7.0MB download requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod running iOS 5.0 or higher. Vine lands on Windows Phone 8 Twitter has delivered on its promise to bring its micro-video sharing app Vine to Microsoft's Windows Phone platform, the company revealed on Tuesday. Vine for Windows Phone will reportedly launch today, though the page for the app shows that it has not yet gone live. The Windows Phone version of Vine will allow users to create six-second videos using the front- and rear-facing cameras, just as its Android and iOS counterparts do. Twitter, though, has built in the ability to pin Vine users to the Windows Phone Start screen, and it has also included integration with the Windows Phone camera Lens feature.
