Briefly: 'Disappearing' iPad keyboard, antimicrobial iPhone case
Thursday, January 9, 2014 @ 3:48pm

Accessory maker Moshi yesterday launched its VersaKeyboard case for iPad Air, featuring an origami-style folding stand that includes a Bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard component to the case can be easily hidden away when not in use, due to its 'sliding' keyboard storage feature built into the back. Aimed to provide a versatile keyboard without adding bulk or a need for additional storage, the VersaKeyboard is 0.6-inches thick while being nearly full size -- about 80 percent of the size of a standard keyboard.

The keyboard's Bluetooth technology facilitates use up to 30 feet away from an iPad Air, and can be used for up to 130 hours on a single charge of its built-in battery. Available in black with a charcoal gray cover, the VersaKeyboard for iPad Air is priced at $100. NueVue iPhone sleeve case kills 80 percent of bacteria on device within fifteen minutes Unveiled yesterday at CES 2014, NueVue's sleeve case offers an anti-microbial interior to clean the user's screen every time the device is removed. Its BioCote technology is composed of a microfiber lining, offering up to 99 percent elimination of surface bacteria, with 80 percent killed within 15 minutes. NueVue sleeves will be available for iPhone, iPad and iPad mini, with pricing beginning at $45. Exterior materials include leather and cotton twill.
