GarageBand for Mac gets MP3 exports, new Drummer add-ons
Thursday, March 20, 2014 @ 2:37pm

Apple has released a minor update for the Mac edition of GarageBand, v10.0.2. The main addition is the ability to export songs directly to MP3, saving time and effort in conversion. Apple has also added three new Drummers and drumkits for the rock, R&B, and singer/songwriter genres, but only for people who've purchased the app's complete sound library.

Release notes are less clear on other changes. Apple mentions "multiple enhancements to Accessibility," as well bugfixes for instability and other unspecified problems. The core GarageBand app is free, and runs on OS X 10.9 or later, but the sound library add-on is $5.
