Remote Access

Remote Access is Apple's new term for the PPP control panel. With the exception of the little triangle that can be used to make the window smaller (so it only shows connection status/information), everything else remains the same. This isn't entirely new to Mac OS 8.5, though, the iMac also features the Remote Access control panel.

Updated 9/7/98 - What is new is that the actual dialing/connecting is now performed seamlessly in the background, allowing you to continue to work without interuption.
