Pros: good idea, effective implementation, consumes little RAM
Cons: not as effective as a multi-button mouse
The one thing I like better about Windows computers is the "right-click" ability to do extra things with your mouse. MacOS 8 has borrowed this feature from Windows with the "control-click," but it still requires two hands and a little more brain power than the Windows way of doing things since Macs still ship with only a one button mouse. Of course you can buy a two button mouse just for Contextual Menus, but why would you when you can buy a $9 shareware title that'll let you use your Apple Branded mouse to bring up the Contextual Menus?
Look Ma, No hands functions by simulating a control-click after you've held the mouse button down for a specified time. While some may think this is cumbersome, you'll soon get used to it. Look Ma also lets you navigate within nested folders without using the Command Key. Usually when you want to move from a nested folder to a higher folder you have to click the window title while holding down the Command Key. LMNH lets you do it one handed. Look Ma, No Hands doesn't support the Apple Internet Data Detectors, but it doesn't disable them either. You can still use them with the "control-click" when using LMNH.
Look Ma, No Hands is a handy little shareware extension that takes up less that 5K of RAM, and lets you use your Macintosh Mouse the way it should be used, without the keyboard for support. -JE
